What you need to know about HD DSLR for video

Since the Nikon D90 was released in 2008, HD capable DSLR cameras or HD DSLR’s have been all the rage. Many people who owned previous DSLR’s for still photography have upgraded or added HD DSLR’s to their repertoire. Cinematographers are also using them. In some instances, these beauties have even been used for exclusively for Hollywood productions.

But what makes them so attractive over conventional camcorders?
For many it’s the ability to shoot video with a shallow depth of field. For others, it’s a convenience of having the advantages of a DSLR for stills and also for video. For many, it’s about the glass (lenses). Or perhaps it’s the low light shooting ability? Whatever the case may be for you.
